Fundraising Events Calendar for the rest of 2019

Testimonials

‘We now have activities that she loves to do with us and these include the rest of the family. In the main her comprehension and happiness has increased dramatically.’

We are often approached by individuals and groups keen to fund raise on our behalf but not sure how to go about it.

One of the easiest :0) ways is to sign up for an event someone else is organising! In Edinburgh we are fortunate that there are plenty of such opportunities!

There are still lots of challenge events that you could sign up to this autumn/winter to help raise money to support Tailor Ed. Please check out the following links for closing dates and full event information.

September

Pedal for Scotland 8th September 2019

Now in its 20th year this is final closed road pedal from Glasgow to Edinburgh as from next year they are going to organise shorter more local events. So if this challenge is on your bucket list, its now or never.

If however the thought of a 45 miles cycle is way beyond your wildest dream, no worries because they also organise a much shorter closed road 10 mile cycle from Linlithgow to Edinburgh.

Check out: https://www.cycling.scot/pedal-for-scotland for full details.

Edinburgh Kilt Walk September 15th 2019

Edinburgh

There’s a walk to suit all ambitions from the 5 mile Wee Stroll to the full 24 mile Mighty Stride. Why not dust off your kilt, walking boots and take part. One of the amazing benefits of this event is that the organisers add a further 40% for every £ participants raise!!

Scottish 10K Sunday 22nd September 2019 – Fast & flat. The route starts and finishes just outside Edinburgh at Musselburgh Racecourse. You will follow the final section of the seriously flat and rapid Scottish Half Marathon route and run along the magnificent Golf Coast before finishing in the final furlong at Musselburgh Racecourse; Scotland’s oldest racecourse. Runners must be over 15 years old on the day of the race to participate. Please note the route may be subject to change

This event is a little different: if any one plans to run for Tailor Ed Foundation then can they please notify us so that we can register as an affiliate charity of the event.

If cycling or walking is not for you then why not run for fun!

October

Just when you thought that October was going to be a quiet month: on the 20th October how about taking part in a REALLY unique event – a 57km ultra run described as a Rat Run through the streets, closes, up and down the craggs and most of Edinburghs’ seven hills. You have been warned…. https://ultratourofedinburgh.co.uk/

I was exhausted just watching the video!!

November

Men’s 10K Sunday 3th November 2019 – The Men’s 10K Edinburgh is a stunning 10K run through the heart of Scotland’s beautiful capital city. The stage is set for the men of Scotland and beyond to make a positive change! Consistently around 40% of the men taking part have never entered a running event before. https://www.mens10k.com/edinburgh

As part in International Men’s day this is the perfect opportunity for dads, uncles, brothers and granddads to get involved:

If you, your family or work colleagues decide to take part in any of these events can you please let us know by emailing Stuart at fundraising@tailoredfoundation.co.uk
