Autism Network Scotland is a hub of impartial and reliable information about autism services across Scotland.

Kindred provides advocacy and information on services available to children with additional support needs and their carers.

Partners in Advocacy provides independent, free and confidential advocacy service to support to children and adults to have their voices and opinions heard and to be empowered to be involved in the important decisions that affect their lives. They provide services in Edinburgh and the Lothians, Glasgow, East Renfrewshire and Dundee. Anyone can make a referral.

FABB have been working over the past 50 years to give disabled children and young people access to sport, leisure and outdoor activities. From white water rafting to climbing, from music to film, they provide a range of activities that are not available to most people regardless of their ability.

Contact a Family provide information, advice and support to families of disabled children, bringing them together to support each other. They also campaign to improve their circumstances and for their right to be included and equal in society.

The Yard is a purpose built indoor and outdoor play facility and adventure playground for children and young people with additional support needs.

Family Fund is the UK’s largest provider of grants to low-income families raising disabled and seriously ill children and young people.

Lothian Autistic Society is committed to meaningful participation and choice in all aspects of life for children and young people on the autism spectrum and their families. They offer various services including Respite, Social Clubs and Holiday Clubs.

Mindroom is a special needs charity for children and adults affected by learning difficulties and learning disabilities.

The Action Group value, listen to and involve people and their carers so that our every action is judged to be the best. They offer various services including holiday clubs.

Number 6 is a service for adults (16 and over) with High Functioning Autism (HFA) or Asperger Syndrome (AS) who live in the Lothians.

The Fragile X Society provides support and information to fragile X families from those who share and understand their concerns and needs as well as research and raising awareness and understanding of the syndrome and so improve the care of all people affected by fragile X.

The National Autistic Society Scotland is the leading UK charity for people with autism and their families.

Scottish Autism is Scotland’s national autism charity supporting individuals with autism throughout their whole life journey. They help those diagnosed with autism lead full and enriched lives and become valuable members of their community, providing a wide range of innovative and highly personalised services across Scotland both for children and adults, as well as family and professional support, focused on improving quality of life.

The Scottish Autism Research Group (SARG) is an interdisciplinary group of academic researchers, postgraduate students and practitioners involved in research into autism spectrum conditions. It provides a platform for sharing research-in-progress, to encourage debate and to offer academic support to postgraduate students. SARG has also run community day events to share research findings and discuss future research directions with the local autism community.

Cauldwell Children provide family support services, equipment, treatment and therapies for disabled children (including autistic) and their families across the UK.
