Ride a Bike Workgroup
For families referred to Tailor Ed
Again this year we’re running our workshop for parents who want to teach their child to ride a bike. This will be run by our project workers Kate and Javier.
The first session is just for parents/carers and will be on Zoom on Wednesday 13th of April at 8pm. At this first session we will go through the practicalities of teaching your child to ride a bike and how to decide if your child is ready, as well as watching some videos of the basic exercises we will be using. If you’re not able to make this time let us know and we can book in to run through vital information before you attend one of the practical sessions below.
The practical sessions are for parents and carers and their child to practice riding a bike.
The sessions will be Sunday 24th April, Saturday 9th July and Saturday 30th July at the Edinburgh Academy Junior School grounds in Canonmills (some free parking may be available). Kate and Javier will be on hand to help you teach your child and practice the various exercises. We can provide bikes if needed.
Places on this workshop must be booked in advance as there are limited places and are only available to those with an Tailor Ed referral.
