Community Group Work

About the Service

Our ND wellbeing groups in community settings are delivered as part of the EDAN Hub, funded by the Scottish Government’s Whole Family Wellbeing Fund. These groups are designed to support the wellbeing of neurodivergent children and young people through sharing information and facilitating activities which aim to increase self-understanding, acceptance, support and community. We work in a collaboration with community staff to deliver group content and increase inclusion and neuro-affirming practice in that setting.

Each group will be expected to meet weekly for 8-12 weeks; the first 8-12 weeks will be led by the Tailor Ed Project Worker as facilitator and the community partner co-facilitating, with the second 8-12 weeks being led by the community partner and co-facilitated by the Tailor Ed Project Worker.

The group will need to meet in a private, safe space where snacks, fidget toys, and other sensory items are accessible. Sessions are to be person-centred, trauma-informed, and inclusive.
