About Us
In 2022, we launched our ND:Well service in partnership with Barnardo’s and Autism Initiatives, working together with oversight from our NHS CAMHS colleagues to provide services that support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in Edinburgh who are neurodivergent. Our project was specifically for autistic individuals aged 5-16 and their families/carers. We have now expanded our wellbeing service to include all neurodivergence, in partnership with the Edinburgh Disability and Neurodiversity Hub and funded by the Whole Family Wellbeing Fund.
ND:Well
The ND:Well Tailor Ed service supports autistic CYP from 5-16 years old through wellbeing workgroups. Groups run for 8 weeks, and following groupwork, CYP can access 1:1 follow ups with their designated key worker. Topics include special interests, habits, bodies and energy, sleep, emotional and sensory regulation, identity, and community.
EDAN Hub/WFWF
Our EDAN Hub services are available for CYP aged 5-16 who either have identified neurodivergence or are on the diagnostic pathway, as well as their parents/carers. Groups run for 8–12 weeks, and following groupwork, CYP can access 1:1 follow ups with their designated key worker. Topics include special interests, habits, bodies and energy, sleep, emotional and sensory regulation, identity, and community. Apart from our referral groups, we host wellbeing groups in community settings. Support groups relating to a variety of topics such as sharing a diagnosis, energy management, emotion regulation, sleep, zones of regulation and gaming are also available for parents. Following groupwork, parents can access 1:1 sessions with our family project worker for individual reflection.
Referral Process and Booking
We are currently accepting referrals for CYP group work – the referral criteria and referral form can be found below. Bookings for parent groups, either online or in-person, can be made through the EDAN Hub Bookaby.
Please be aware that referrals are triaged to make sure the young person attending is appropriate for the group and referrals submitted do not guarantee a place in the group. We can talk about this further with you at wellbeing@tailoredfoundation.co.uk if you have any questions.
